I enjoyed the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone on my old amp, but with my new amp I like the built in presets better. I'd still recommend the pedal though. Earlier this month, I played about 15 different distortion pedals, looking for the right one. Cliche as it is, I was really impressed with the Boss Metal Zone..
