I built a 2 square foot bog next to the pond 1 foot deep with the same 2 in pipe grid as the pond and a waterfall going into the pond. This has been running since September without issues. I have a clean pond good water circulation. For those looking to build a pond with the underground filter, even though it is a small pond, use big pipe!.
